I enjoy taking pictures without flash in low light for weddings and in churches. I am a user amateurs. Should I buy a prime lens like a f2.8 or f4? Fixed length lenses are faster than the VR?
The 18-200 is a great all-in-one, but the goal is not really useful in low light situations. VR lenses do not reduce the shutter time. Instead, let – hand to take photos with relatively long shutter. Turn to virtual reality as a substitute for a tripod. This is fine if you're shooting interiors church, but it does not really help if you are focused on people. Anyone who moves / contractions, while the shutter is open is still unclear, and the more he opens the shutter, the more likely to happen. If you want to keep the shutter far have larger openings. Zoom, 2.8 is twice as fast as f / 4 and four times faster than f/5.6. If this is not enough, an increase of 1.4 first is 8x faster than f / 4 and 16x faster than f/5.6. These lenses do the work. I am an amateur photographer myself, but I shoot regularly in churches and other low light environments. I use a D200, a Nikon 17-55mm f/2.8 and a Nikon 50mm f/1.4. How the 18-200 VR Nikon D70 made in the?
I enjoy taking pictures without flash in low light for weddings and in churches. I am a user amateurs. Should I buy a prime lens like a f2.8 or f4? Fixed length lenses are faster than the VR?
The 18-200 is a great all-in-one, but the goal is not really useful in low light situations. VR lenses do not reduce the shutter time. Instead, let – hand to take photos with relatively long shutter. Turn to virtual reality as a substitute for a tripod. This is fine if you're shooting interiors church, but it does not really help if you are focused on people. Anyone who moves / contractions, while the shutter is open is still unclear, and the more he opens the shutter, the more likely to happen. If you want to keep the shutter far have larger openings. Zoom, 2.8 is twice as fast as f / 4 and four times faster than f/5.6. If this is not enough, an increase of 1.4 first is 8x faster than f / 4 and 16x faster than f/5.6. These lenses do the work. I am an amateur photographer myself, but I shoot regularly in churches and other low light environments. I use a D200, a Nikon 17-55mm f/2.8 and a Nikon 50mm f/1.4. With ISO 800 (the dial goes up to 3200 ISO, but the image quality suffers), usually zoom 2.8 … But 50mm came into practice on several occasions. You can see on the Nikon 17-55mm f/2.8 ($ 1,200), 70-200mm f/2.8 ($ 1600), 50 mm f / 1.4 or 1.8, 85 mm f / 1 , 4 or 1.8 and the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 (500 $). If they do a lot of pictures in low light, maybe get the 18-200 and get a 50mm f/1.4 AF and a backup emergency for about $ 200 used.
