Good low light lens for Nikon D40?
I have a Nikon D40. Recently I was shooting a lot areas of low light. Also known cafes with open mics and work. All these places have no light, but flash photography Not recommended. I noticed some good low light images. So I was wondering what type of lens that works best for these situations. The price is not a problem, although the size could be. I do not want much, I hope something compact. Is management 85mm f/1.8 AF?
For the interior, under a photograph of light AF-S Nikkor 35mm f1.8 should be enough. The EF-S Nikkor 50mm F1.4 is 2 / 3 stop faster, but probably has the widest coverage of 35 mm. If you think you can do without autofocus I could always go with the Nikkor 35mm f1.4.
