The lens Sigma AF fast enough?
I looked at the Sigma telephoto – 500mm DG OS HSM 150 5.6 to 6.3. Has anyone used this goal for a quick photo sports – rugby, football, athletics or air show?? Then approach Automatic "hold" to action. (They are sharp photos?) Will be used in a Canon 20D. I wish I could give the original Canon lens, but economically, they are not too expensive. Anyone have or have used this objective in these cases? Your advice, comments or complaints, including full support would Salud!
Wow .. Not that the FA, I would be concerned .. is 5.6 to 6.3? It is a goal very slow! You need something like a good shot 2.8 sports. Or perhaps better, but wow it's really slow. And do not think it takes to be a 500 either. I think for what you want a 70-300 or 80-400 would be. Good luck =)

I'll come right out and say that the best you can buy is 600. And, yes, it costs more $ 11,000.
But we want something much cheaper here. In fact, at a low price would be a good thing but it will not happen, because the glass lens good, not just cheap. So, forget the stupid $ 11K to win the lottery.
There is a little cheaper than ordinary lenses have a very good work, but also cost more than $ 5,000. So … What a photographer with a budget to do?
There are a couple of solutions to the problem which will cost you thousands of dollars and their first child.
First, there are some lenses that will work for much less than those mentioned above. Of course, if you pay less, you must realize that the results do not match, particularly whether to go for a walk through the jungle armed with his camera gear. (One suggestion is to not make the trek, but wildlife – birds – walk with you.)
You can opt for a piece under large glass. There are some great goals in the "under class 400" which will give you some really good pictures. Here are some you might consider:

And here's the best part. I use my Canon 70-200mm f/4.0 USM. This little thing cost me about $ 500. I can also use my new Sigma 18-250mm to take pictures when birds come too close together.
A little work on your part can save you much cash. Besides keeping you in the comfort of your own home where you can enjoy the overview and a cup of coffee.
