If you want good results, search for such a long zoom, are always a compromise and produce results very average. If you really need a zoom lens, receive at least two to cover that distance.
There are many Nikon digital SLR on the market that make it worthy of investment, and one of them is the Nikon D90. The D90 is a Nikon digital SLR suitable for occasional users and beginners especially if they fear that the kit lens. The D90, however, receives more points are intuitive presentation of the famous mark and video capabilities.
I thought you already the D90, but what I wanted was the D300, by characteristics of the weather and the rugged magnesium body. Ultimately, however, I decided it not worth shelling $ 600 more just for a better Camera Body. The D90 and D300 have the same sensor and range capabilities of the ISO. Some comments on digital SLR cameras Nikon say that pales in comparison D300 the D90 in terms of noise reduction.
The D90 also has a design excellent control, the options are only available button on the left side of the screen that allows easy access to image quality, ISO, white balance, and view photos before. Yes, the D90 has video capabilities, but not why I decided to buy instead of D300. Unfortunately, the video function does not meet expectations due to lack autofocus and sound. It provides a nice extra feature, but his lack of essential elements that have made a good video camera.
Many users of the kit lens supplied with the D90, but I think you can get a better zoom from Nikon, which falls in the same price range as the D90. The sale price of 18-105mm Vibration Reduction (VR) is reported $ 400. I have my Nikon 70-300mm VR for about $ 485, and a much better built with a rubber gasket and metal mount. The purpose of the kit is delivered with the D90 has plastic mount and rubber gasket, which makes it feel a little cheap compared to the 70-300mm VR that I bought.
If you are an occasional user or average and you only need the basic goal, then the kit lens probably D90. But if you aspire to go semi-pro or pro, I say go for the VR myself have bought. However, the D90 is a camera that if the Department is required to test time. I give a four of 5 rating.
