If I have a goal of 28-75mm which is not necessary to have a 50mm prime?
I am a student of photography. For class we were told that we should be working with 18-200mm wide and probably work with some telephotolens 50 mm – f/1.8. I have nothing to go on my zoom and it would be a costly purchase. I have a Tamron AF 28-75mm f/2.8 XR Di LD SP ZL my teacher told me it would be nice, but "I'd be limited with my pictures, especially for my large telephoto lens. "I can not continue to ask what it means and its stupid, but if I zoom 28-75mm Would I a 50 mm – f/1.8 too? (Who is a goal that can give) What do you do? Thank you all sooooo much got exactly what I was looking for … Good answer to my question. Thank you all.
You have a very practical purpose, that Tamron, one of the best "unbranded" lenses out there. You can do almost everything that the instructor wants to achieve this goal. f/1.7 or f/1.8 50mm lens is actually one of the cheapest lenses you can buy. Canon's version can often be found for less than $ 100, Nikon is about $ 125, the Sony is $ 150. The difference between the Tamron and one of 50 mm is more than 1 stop of exposure, in f/1.8 is 1 1 / 3, af/1.7 is 1 1 / 2 stops. This allows faster shutter depth, or less of the area and the parameters of the dimmer before having to resort more to the ISO or flash. None of these will make you fail the field, since its objective is always at least 2 / 3 stop faster than most kit lenses can be managed at all, and a total of 2 stops faster than the lens kit at the maximum focal length. A rapid 50 is always a good thing to have in your kit, but I think we'll be happy with what you have.
